Rey is a longtime member and current president of ALRA where he has and still does represent the organization to English and Spanish media in a number of domestic and foreign markets.
Rey is an active member of several civic and religious organizations. In 2006, Rey served as the Minority Relations Director of Congressman J.D. Hayworth. He has served on The Chandler Symphony Orchestra (String Bass) and the St. Mary's Basilica Choir (Basso Profundo)-Phoenix, AZ. Rey has served on other similar organizations such as: Our Lady of Guadalupe Choir-Guadalupe, AZ, The Knights of Columbus - St. Joan of Arc - 1st Degree-Phoenix, AZ, and the Copper Basin Catholic Mission Choir, San Tan Valley, AZ. Besides music, Rey has a unique passion for history and travel which he believes is the best way to experience the rich history of our state, our nation and beyond. For a time, Rey lived abroad studying civic law at the University of the Americas at Mexico City, D.F. He is well versed in Mexican history, politics, and culture. Rey reads, writes, and speaks Spanish beautifully and fluently. He is also a Russian novice. Rey is a third generation Arizonan/American residing in San Tan Valley, AZ. He is a native of Gilbert, AZ. A graduate of Gilbert High School, Rey has earned his A.A. degree in History from Mesa Community College and a B.A. degree in Political Science from Arizona State University. |

As our Vice President, George brings a wealth of leadership experience to the position. He joined ALRA in December of 2010. He is a conservative Latino Republican and a member of the Arizona Tea Party, too.
George was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He and his family moved to California when he was one month old. He served on Thomas Jefferson High School's Student Council and graduated in 1963. After graduating, George attended East Los Angeles Junior College and Long Beach State University. For a short time, he was a member of MECHA but left after learning of their true agenda. Professionally, George worked for Thermador Waste King. For 10 years, he also served as shop steward for the Stove Mounters Local Union. For two years, he was union president. In 2007, George started his franchise of janitorial services. Politically, George was a Democrat for 15 years until Ronald Reagan became the 40th President of the United States. For four years, George was a volunteer coach for the City of Lakewood, CA before being named 1999 Coach of the Year. Since July 2000, George has lived at Peoria, Arizona. |
| Haydee Dawson |
Haydee brings a specific group of skill sets to the position of Treasurer. Currently, she works for Country Financial as a Financial Rep. Haydee is also a licensed and certified Life/Health, Property and Casualty, Series 6 & 63, Investment Services Representative and a Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow.
In the community, Haydee is the president of the Scottsdale Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and a Relay for Life Team Leader. She was also a volunteer coordinator on the Bush-Cheney 2004 Victory campaign. Haydee has a Masters in Business Administration from Jones International University at Denver, CO and a Bachelors in Business Administration from Arizona State University at Tempe Arizona. |
